Download and Install [ iPassConnect 3.x] program:
1. Download the customized [ iPassConnect program ] from i-CABLE's Global Roaming Page
2. At the [ iPassConnect setup ] screen, click [ Next ] to continue



3. Before you start the installation, you need to choose a [ Destination Location ] to copy the files to. Simply click [ Next ] if you are fine with the default location


4. File copying is underway. Once it is finished, you can decide whether to launch the program right away. If you want to start the program immediately, check the [ Launch iPassConnect ] option and click the [ Finish ] button

5. A shortcut icon, named [ iPassConnect ], should appear on your desktop. Click on it when you are ready to start the program

Use iPassConnect 3.x for Internet Connection
The startup screen when [ iPassConnect ] is launched

1. Go to [ Settings ] and choose for [ Login Information ] to set up login information
Set your username and password:
  • Fill in your [ Login Name ] (i.e. peter) as [ User Name ]
  • Enter your password in the [ Password ] entry box. (To save your password for future sessions, check [ Save Password ] )


2. Go to [ Settings ] and choose for [ Connection Settings ] to set up Connection
In the [ Dialup ] menu, select the correct modem in the [ Device ] pull-down menu, and click [ OK ]

3. Select the [ Country ] which you are currently in

Select the [ City ] which you are in and then click [ Find ] to search the local telephone numbers for connecting


4. List of local telephone numbers will be prompted out, please select one and then click [ Dial Properties ] to set up dial properties


5. Set the Dial Properties
¡P On the [ General ] box:

  • Enter a number (if necessary) to dial for an outside line in the box of [ To access outside line dial ] (i.e. if you are in a hotel, you need to dial 9,etc)
  • Check the appropriate radio button for pulse or tone dial
  • Click [ OK ] if it is done


6. Connect to/Disconnect from the iPass network
  • Click [ Connect ] to connect to the iPass network. Once connection is established, an [ iPass ] icon will be appeared on the system tray (corner of the Task Bar)
  • To disconnect from the iPass network, simply double-click the iPass icon on the system tray and click [ Disconnect ]





iPass (for Macintosh)

iPass Dial Wizard is an easy-to-use interface which allows you to establish Internet Roaming connection in just a few clicks.¡@Please make sure you have Mac OS 8.0 or above installed in your Macintosh and a modem is properly installed.

Download iPass Dial Wizard

1. You can download the iPass Dial Wizard on our roaming page.

2. After you download the file, a file named "macdial1.0.5b.sea.sit" will be displayed on the desktop (Or in the folder where your Download Manager saves all the files)

3. Double click on the file and a folder named "iPass Dial Wizard 1.0.5b" will be displayed on the "Desktop".

Configurate of iPass Dial Wizard

1. Double click the "iPass Dial Wizard 1.0.5b" folder and then double click the icon "iPass Dial Wizard 1.0.5.b" in it.

2. A window named "New Access Point" will be shown. Please choose the appropriate "Country" and "Region". Click "OK" to finish the configuration.

3. A window named "Phone Number Modification" will be shown. In order to make the connection successful, you may need to consider the following situation and decide whether certain prefixes are needed to be added.

Click "OK" after you have the right prefixes (if any) to finish.

4. On the window named "Edit Configuration", type the below information:

Other settings leave as default and then click "OK".

Use iPass Dial Wizard for Internet Roaming Connection

1. Click on the "Dial" button on the bottom right corner and the following window will be displayed.

2. If connection is established successfully, the button on the bottom right corner will be changed to "Hang Up".
